I grew up in beautiful Southern California in a city called Torrance. I attended South Torrance High School and enjoyed playing sports such as baseball and football. While growing up I spent much of my time working with my father, who is an electrician. During this time I helped to build multiple house and redo many more homes electrical systems. I believe that because of this I discovered at a young age that I wanted to go into engineering. It was not until later that I realized the specific area of engineering I wanted to pursue was civil engineering. The great civil engineering program at Northern Arizona University (NAU) is part of the reason I choose to attend this school. The rest of that choice had to with the amazing location, nestled away in the woods with numerous outdoor activities at your fingertips. I am glad that I choose NAU and am excited to be working on this capstone.

Sam is currently a senior at Northern Arizona University majoring in Civil Engineering. He was raised in Phoenix and grew up with a love for science and fixing things with his hands. He has spent his time at NAU working and studying and he plans to work as a civil engineer upon graduation. Sam believes he can make the world a better place by applying the skills he has learned through his time at NAU in real world scenarios.

Jonathan Gober is currently a senior attending Northern Arizona University. He is pursuing a major in Civil Engineering and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. He is originally from Los Alamitos, California and attended Servite High School, an all-boys school private catholic college preparatory school, in Anaheim. He would like to work as a Civil Engineer after completing his schooling and passing the FE Exam. Jonathan strongly believes his work ethic will serve a valuable asset to any future employers.
